"Italian Air Armada Stirs New York" [Run Time 2:51]
The full title of the film reads "Italian Air Armada Stirs New York! Balbo's fleet makes Metropolis starting point of return flight." A formation of S.55A flying boats appear in formation above New York. Local fascists giving fascist salute with views of the squadron coming in to land. The crew is brought ashore by boat. Italian politician and aviator Italo Balbo is driven in an open top car past crowds. An intertitle reads "New York Hails Balbo On Eve Of Return Hop." Italian and American flags hang above the street as Balbo and his group of fliers ride in a tickertape parade along Lower Broadway. Balbo meets with Mayor O'Brien and gives a speech of thanks (in Italian) from the steps of City Hall. He then visits Wiley Post.
