Titled "Kingsford Smith's Luck Holds - Record flight across the Pacific." Australian aviator Sir Charles Kingsford-Smith and his navigator, Captain Patrick Gordon 'Bill' Taylor, taxi to the ramp at Honolulu, Hawaii, in the Lockheed Altair Lady Southern Cross during their record flight from Australia to California. Crowds run towards the plane to greet the aviators. Kingsford-Smith and Taylor receive garlands of flowers around their necks. The plane taxis in at Oakland, where crowds surround it. Kingsford-Smith leaves the cockpit and announces that he is pleased with his progress and the flight thus far. He also praises Captain Taylor's navigating skills. The plane taxis in at Los Angeles, while crowds surge around. People congratulate the record aviators. Kingsford-Smith thanks Los Angeles for their magnificent welcome.
