"The Return of the Italian Air Armada" [Run Time 1:25]

Titled "Rome. The Return of the Italian Air Armada. Welcomed by Signor Mussolini, General Balbo and 100 air- men march triumphantly through the City." Crowds standing on the banks of the River Tiber look up and wave. Benito Mussolini and other Italian Fascist leaders shield their eyes as they watch out for the return of the Italian fliers. A formation of S.55A flying boats fly overhead in formation. The fliers depart their planes and come ashore.  Massive crowds watch as the expedition crews march past ancient Roman monuments. Mussolini stands and receives greetings from the leader of the Air Armada General Italo Balbo. This ceremony elevated Balbo to the first Air Marshal of Italy.
