"Russian Fliers of Over-the-Pole Record Flight" [Run Time 1:08]

Titled "California."  People surround the Russian ANT-25 long-distance airplane in San Jacinto, California after the record flight over the North Pole from Moscow. The crew poses in front of the aircraft. The ANT-25 takes off, and an animation depicts the previous polar flight's route from Moscow to Vancouver, Washington, over the North Pole. The ANT-25 used in the earlier attempt appears parked with an armed guard at Vancouver, Washington.
