Wiley Post and Will Rogers

On August 15, 1935, Wiley Post (second from right) and his close friend Will Rogers (left)-one of the most popular entertainers of his time-perished in the crash of Post's Lockheed Model 9-E Orion in northern Alaska. They pose here with two unidentified men, probably in Fairbanks, Alaska, before their ill-fated flight.
